Jalapeño Popper Wontons

Jalapeño poppers are one of our favorite finger foods. A little bit spicy and cheesy, it is the best flavor combination. Since we love putting our favorite foods into wonton cups, making Jalapeño Popper Wontons was logically the next step. How many pepper poppers can you pop in your mouth? The answer is: all of them. NOM NOM NOM.

Looking into our past recipes, that we have not yet posted, we found our Jalapeño Popper Wontons. Since we are currently practicing social distancing, we found that we have the time to sit down and talk about food. Since some of us have found we have a little bit of extra time to spend rummaging the kitchen these days. We wanted to provide you with a new recipe! No matter how you are spending your time, we all could use a little comfort food.

We have come to realize how much we love wonton cups, and that if given enough time we will put every single possible recipe into these portable golden cups. So what is next? We will surprise you! Jalapeno Popper Wontons

Ingredients

1 package of wonton wrappers
8 oz. package of cream cheese, room temp
8 oz. sour cream
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup pepper-jack cheese, shredded
3 jalapeños, seeded then diced (note: if you want more heat, do not remove all the seeds)
1 1/2 cups crumbled bacon, cooked

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Using a mini muffin tin, gently press the wonton wrappers into each cup. Pre-bake wontons for 10 minutes.  Remove from oven and let cool.

Next, combine cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, pepper-jack cheese, diced jalapeños, and bacon into a bowl. Mix together.

Take mixture and scoop a spoonful into each wonton cup.

Place filled wontons back into the oven to cook for 10 minutes. 

Then enjoy!

Notes

Depending on how full you fill your wonton cups, you may have extra empty wontons left over. Just remove these prior to final bake.
