Waffles are delicious, but somehow adorable waffles are even more so. If you take any regular food item and make it cute, it instantly becomes a bazillion times more yummy. But lets look past the cuteness of these waffles and get to know them a bit better.

Cinnamon Roll Waffle

What is better than having a normal breakfast? It’s having dessert disguised as breakfast. These waffles taste like cinnamon rolls without the sugary icing. If you aren’t an icing lover then these are perfect for you! Just smother your warm waffle with our spiced butter spread and eat by itself. Or, feel free to add syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar. Buuuuut… if you are an icing lover just whip together some powdered sugar, vanilla extract, cream cheese, and milk to create your own icing to drizzle over them. This recipe makes 14 waffles so you can literally try out 14 different toppings on them, if you keep them all to yourself. Tempting.

But, as tempting as that sounds, it would definitely be more enjoyable to share with family and friends. Sounds like a perfect waffle party to us!

P.S. If you are looking for your #WCW (Waffle Crush Wednesday) for next week, we would be extremely honored.

P.S.S. Is it vain to nominate yourself as your own #WaffleCrushWednesday? Asking for a friend…

At first I thought about simply adding ground cinnamon to my waffle recipe. But that wouldn t have tasted like a cinnamon bun! It would have tasted like cinnamon waffles. Which might have tasted good but wasn t what I wanted. What I craved was that delicious swirl that makes a cinnamon bun a cinnamon bun. I don t know about you but that s my favorite part of a cinnamon bun! In my pre-gluten-free days, I d unwind a cinnamon bun before eating it. (Odd eating habits? Oh yes! I have them!) Unwound meant the cinnamon-sugar filling hit my tongue first with each bite.

Oh yes, that is a favorite to unwind the cinnamon bun and see all the gooey goodness in the center. If you are looking for the cinnamon bun center flavoring to a gluten free waffle, just set some butter out to become room temperature. You will take a hand mixer and cream the butter and mix in some brown sugar, ground cinnamon and some vanilla extract. Place over your warm gluten free waffle allowing it to melt in. Mmmmmm its a yummy addition. Thanks for checking out the blog!
