Third in our starting line-up of Super Bowl appetizers is our Baked Gouda & Caramelized Onion Pastry.
Charcuterie boards are definitely the go to party staple, and lucky us, with the Super Bowl this weekend we get the opportunity to put one together. Charcuterie boards can be anywhere from simple to extravagant, they in themselves can be a work of art. If you find you are looking for finger foods to add to your board, look no further. These tiny cheese filled pastries would nestle perfectly in a charcuterie board, along with fruits, deli meats, additional cheeses, and seeded crackers.
Similar to baked Brie, our miniature Gouda filled pastries are just the right size for each person to have their own. You won’t be glued to the charcuterie board with this portable pocket of cheese. This savory pastry is sure to please.
We hope you add this recipe to your charcuterie board! We know we will.

In a sauté pan, melt butter on medium-high heat, once melted add onions, when onions start to become translucent reduce heat to medium and add garlic powder and thyme.
